Will the signature pads work with my software ?
We are asked frequently if the Topaz Signature pads we sell will work with your own software.
The short answer is (in the majority of cases) yes! However read on to see the details....
Standard Office Software
When you buy one of our pads (or the SigPlus for Windows Tablet-PC emulation software), you have access to free plug-ins which allow you to immediately use our products with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Adobe PDF files. You can sign and validate signatures into any of these products;
Commercial Software from Third-Party Companies
If you buy software from a third-party (e.g. software to manage a dental practice, software to manage a reception desk, software to manage job-sheets and work-cards for field-workers etc.) the software developers may well have integrated the Topaz signature capture features within the software. This is very easy to do for them, and makes their products richer and commercially attractive. You would have to ask the software developers if they have done this. In-House Software Development
If you plan to use the Topaz signature solutions with your own in-house (or specially commissioned) software this is easily achievable.
When you buy one of our pads (or the SigPlus for Windows Tablet-PC emulation software), you have access to SDKs (Software Development Toolkits) which provide a pain-free, simple way to integrate our pads using any of the major software development environments (.NET, Browser-based, Active-X, C++, Delphi etc.). These SDKs are free, and we also provide worked examples, demos and free developer technical support, to make the process as easy as possible.
