Common Office Applications

Our free e-signature software supplied with every unit includes plug-ins for common office applications (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat), and free software development toolkits for developed-integration into your own applications.

GemGuard® antimicrobial pen

Topaz GemView units are supplied with an electromagnetic, battery-less pen.

The pen is pressure-sensing, and manufactured from Topaz GemGuard antimicrobial material.

Topaz GemGuard® pens are proven to reduce bacteria on the pen surface by up to 99.99 percent in laboratory tests, providing round-the-clock product protection against bacterial build-up from harmful species such as MRSA, E. Coli, and Legionella.  The antimicrobial additive used in GemGuard pens is safe and also registered with the US EPA.

GemGuard antimicrobial protection is built into the pen plastics, lasts for the life of the pen, and does not wear off with use.  The GemGuard technology is inorganic and non-leaching, and as a result does not allow bacteria to develop resistance.  The GemGuard silver ion additive binds to the cell wall of bacteria, preventing growth; interrupts enzyme production, stopping the cell energy production; and it interrupts the cell DNA, preventing bacteria replication.

RoHS Compliance

The "-R" suffix, common to all our products denotes a product that is RoHS compliant. RoHS, also known as Lead-Free, stands for Restriction of Hazardous Substances. RoHS, also known as Directive 2002/95/EC, originated in the European Union and restricts the use of six hazardous materials found in electrical and electronic products. All applicable products in the EU market after July 1, 2006 must pass RoHS compliance. RoHS impacts the entire electronics industry and many electrical products as well.

SigCompare

We have some ready-to-use components to make life easier for application developers. These include an Active-X control to manage signature capture, and a "SigCompare" utility that allows you to compare signatures captured with our technology "live", seeing the manner and style of the created signature in addition to the flat image.

We have a free technical support service at both end-user and development levels, and will be happy to assist any user or developer with successfully developing with, implementing and using our technologies.

USB Connection

The "-HSB" model is a USB-connected device which uses the Human Interface Device (HID) class of USB driver built into Microsoft Windows and other leading operating systems and computers

VESA

This product has VESA holes enabling mounting with any standard VESA stand or bracket of the correct size.

Warranty

This model has a one-year Manufacturer's Warranty. However, even after this warranty period has passed (or if the repair is outside the terms of the warranty) we can offer a lifetime service to repair or refurbish the unit (if possible) for a modest charge.
