The IDGem® Backlit LCD 1x5 model is our compact integrated-fingerprint electronic signature capture pad.
The rugged electromagnetic IDGem® LCD 1x5 pad with an optical sensor is designed for the capture of high-quality, high-resolution fingerprint images (500x500 dpi). In addition, fingerprint authentication is available for verifying a user against their own saved fingerprint template.
In addition to our powerful software tools and support, the IDGem® LCD 1x5 is supported by our SigIDp1™ electronic fingerprint software.
IDGem® LCD 1x5 includes all the high-quality features of our electronic signature pad with the added feature of an LCD interactive display, allowing users to see "electronic ink" under the pen tip as they sign as well as navigate and display text and graphics. The wide signing area and rugged tempered glass signing surface make this a versatile pad for the most demanding applications.
The Backlit LCD has a 1" x 5" transflective LCD screen with a bright backlight for improved viewing in any ambient lighting conditions.
*Signatures appear on the pad screen under-the-pen as the user signs. In addition, the LCD display can be used to display information to the user, and can also display on-screen buttons, hot-spots and checkboxes.
All our SignatureGem LCD range are now fitted with e-Tether pen. These "active" pens draw their power from the tether to the unit (which derives its power from the computrer connection). This does away with the need for batteries to drive the pen.
The "-HSB" model is a USB-connected device which uses the Human Interface Device (HID) class of USB driver built into Microsoft Windows and other leading operating systems and computers.
This model has a two-year Manufacturer's Warranty. However, even after this warranty period has passed (or if the repair is outside the terms of the warranty) we can offer a lifetime service to repair or refurbish the unit (if possible) for a modest charge.
The "-R" suffix, common to all our products denotes a product that is RoHS compliant. RoHS, also known as Lead-Free, stands for Restriction of Hazardous Substances. RoHS, also known as Directive 2002/95/EC, originated in the European Union and restricts the use of six hazardous materials found in electrical and electronic products. All applicable products in the EU market after July 1, 2006 must pass RoHS compliance. RoHS impacts the entire electronics industry and many electrical products as well.
