SigLite Backlit LCD 1x5 BSB (Virtual Serial)

This virtual-serial device has been specifically designed for use in remote usage environments such as Citrix or Terminal Services, and has an integrated Setrial-to-USB convertor.

Featuring a Backlit LCD touch-pad and stylus, these models display the signature (and other data*) on the signature pad screen, as well as the computer monitor.

SigLite® 1x5 features all the high-quality biometric and forensic capture techniques of a SignatureGem tablet but with a low-cost touchpad and stylus in place of the more rugged digitizing pen and inert surface of the SigGem tablet series.

The Backlit LCD model has a 1" x 5" transflective LCD screen with a bright backlight for improved viewing in any ambient lighting conditions.

*Signatures appear on the pad screen under-the-pen as the user signs. In addition, the LCD display can be used to display information to the user, and can also display on-screen buttons, hot-spots and checkboxes.

The "-BSB" and "-BBSB" models are Virtual Serial devices. Our "-BSB" and "-BBSB" signature pads are the recommended option for Remote Desktop, Citrix, and VDI environments. "-BSB" and "-BBSB" signature pads can also be used in a local environment.

Essentially the pads are Serial Devices with an integrated Serial-to-USB convertor, meaning that the attachment of the units is to an available USB socket on the PC or Terminal. Supported operating systems are Windows (local environment usage), or Windows, embedded Windows, Linux and MAC OSX 10.3 and above (in Citrix, Termianl Service or XenApp/RDC environments).

This model has a two-year Manufacturer's Warranty. However, even after this warranty period has passed (or if the repair is outside the terms of the warranty) we can offer a lifetime service to repair or refurbish the unit (if possible) for a modest charge. 

The "-R" suffix, common to all our products denotes a product that is RoHS compliant. RoHS, also known as Lead-Free, stands for Restriction of Hazardous Substances. RoHS, also known as Directive 2002/95/EC, originated in the European Union and restricts the use of six hazardous materials found in electrical and electronic products. All applicable products in the EU market after July 1, 2006 must pass RoHS compliance. RoHS impacts the entire electronics industry and many electrical products as well.
